Confidence for Women … And I became Picasso
“My mother said to me,
‘If you are a soldier, you will become a general. If you are a monk, you will become the Pope.’
Instead, I was a painter, and became Picasso.”
-Pablo Picasso
I love this. What is so profound to me about this statement, is that even with high expectations – Picasso found greatness in being himself.
Period. Enough said.
…Wow.
What would happen if you (we) truly had the confidence, ability and follow through to do same? Imagine!

If you kill the Ego you kill your Will, your creativity.
Art is the way to tame it. To urbanize it. To accomodate it to Reason
and beauty and harmony and love and the inevitable, which is death
and oblivion.
Thanks for the comment! Yes! I completely agree about FOCUSING! Huge and important point! Guess that is step 1!

As it happened with Victor Hugo who wanted
to be Chateaubriand “or nothing,” Picasso
wanted to be a new Giotto, a new Titan,
“or nothing.”
As it happens with Edward de Vere or
Nabokov:
They FOCUSED on their ART.
on their work. I think that is the KEY.
You give it all to it. Jimi Hendrix has
a metaphorical song about this that
is a jewell of poetry: LITTLE WING.
Or the song to the MUSE…
